We currently offer a Learn to shoot course, a Concealed Carry Permit course, an Advanced Techniques course as well as maintenance seminars. All classes are held monthly at The Firing Line and must be pre-paid for to reserve a seat. We do not offer refunds on classes, but in the event that you cannot make it to your reserved class date, we will let you reschedule into a future class for up to a year. Beginners Learn To Shoot Course
Sign up early to save your seat in this exciting, newly formatted course. You will learn the basics of firearm safety, functionality, and maintenance. Additionally, we will go over mechanics of shooting including stance, grip, sight alignment, and trigger pull. Bring in your questions and our instructor will be happy to answer them for you during the class. After the initial classroom session, we will take the students out onto our firing range for supervised live fire. After the class, our students will have enough confidence and proficiency to come into the range and fire on their own.
For $55.00, students can bring their own firearms and ammunition to learn on.
For $70.00, we will provide a Smith & Wesson M&P9 with a Crimson Trace lasergrip and 25 rounds of ammunition for use in the class.
Concealed Carry Permit Course
This class is meant for those wishing to apply for a Florida Concealed Carry Permit. During the class, Florida state laws will be addressed - After the class, students will have a firm understanding of what you can and can't do in the state of Florida. We also touch on some home defense techniques and cover different firearms and methods of concealment. This class runs 3 hours and includes a free range visit that must be used prior to the start of the class to demonstrate proficiency as required by Florida law. $65
Improvement Shooting Course
This class will allow you to increase your knowledge and improve your techniques. Most shooters will go through 75-100 rounds in this class. For $100 you can use your own gun and approved ammo. You may purchase rounds at time of class if you would like. You will be in a class with 4-8 shooters and have plenty of one on one time with the instructor. This is an extension of our beginner class with a shorter classroom experience and more hands on time in the range. This class will improve your stance, grip and sight alignment to improve accuracy. You will be imporving the speed that you can maintain accuracy for self defense and competition purposes.
The Practical shooting course is meant for those who have a good understanding of their firearm, have practiced on the range enough to feel proficient and/or completed the intermediate shooting course. This course will provide instruction on real life shooting situations. This class teaches the shooter accurate shot placement in a relatively quick manner.
