- Minimum age to use the range is 12 - with adult supervision.
- If you have never shot a gun before, please let us know so we may assist you.
- If you are pregnant or believe you may be pregnant, you CANNOT shoot on the range.
- If you have consumed any alcoholic beverages or have been using any other substances within the last 24 hours, you may not shoot on the range.
- If you are a felon you are not permitted on the range for any reason nor may you be in posession of a firearm or ammunition under federal law.
- If you intend to do bodily harm to yourself or others, you are not permitted on the range.
Firearms brought into The Firing Line Gun Range
- All firearms brought into The Firing Line gun range must be unloaded and securely encased
- Pistols, Pistol Caliber rifles, and shotguns are permitted. No rifle calibers are permitted on the range.
- All guns must remain encased in the lobby unless cleared by Firing Line personnel.
- All firearms should be in good working order and may be checked and approved by The Firing Line staff
Ammunition Restrictions
- No aluminum or steel cased ammunition is permitted on The Firing Line gun range.
- When renting any firearm only ammo purchased from Firing Line is permitted.
- Any reloaded ammunition may be barred from the range at the discretion of the management.
- No bare lead projectile ammunition is permitted.
- No steel shot ammunition is permitted.
- No tracers, incendiary or explosive ammunition is permitted.
- Shotguns will shoot buck or bird shot only, no slugs.
Vandalism
- Any person found to be firing at lights, baffles, carriers or any other range property or equipment will be held financially and criminally responsible.
- Targets are to be mounted only on target carriers provided.
- Only targets provided by The Firing Line or approved by the range officer are permitted.
- To avoid ricochets, all shots must remain in the body of the target.
- Do not shoot at targets other than the one on your lane.
On The Range
- All persons utilizing the range facility are required to read the range rules and sign in on the sign in sheet before being permitted on the range.
- A responsible adult must accompany any shooters under the age of 18 the entire time they are on the range.
- No food, drink, smoking or smokeless tobacco products are permitted on the range.
- Only one firearm may be loaded in a booth at one time.
- Firearms must remain in the booth they start in - do not pass uncased firearms between booths.
- Shooters are not permitted forward of the firing line at any time for any reason.
- Muzzles are to be pointed downrange in a safe direction at all times.
- Firearms are not permitted to be handed to another person.
- Approved safety glasses are required for every person on the range and for the entire time they are in there.
- You are required to wear hearring protection at all times.
- For your safety, do not wear tank tops, shorts, low cut shirts, sandals or high heels on the range.
- Only line-of-sight shooting is permitted. There is no hip or snap shooting.
- Standing shooting only - no shooting is allowed from rests, stands, or bipods.
- All targets are to be stationary while being shot at. No shooting at targets while moving is allowed.
- No rapid fire is permitted.
- When leaving the firing line, firearms being left on the line must be unloaded with the muzzle downrange and the action open.
- If you experience a malfunction (jamming, failure to feed/fire/eject, etc) or need any further assistance from an employee, lay the firearm down with the muzzle pointing downrange and come seek assitance. Do not bring uncased or malfunctioning firearms out into the showroom.
- Shooters are responsible for cleaning up all spent brass and trash from their own shooting station. Brass may be piled up and placed in our brass bucket or swept off the carpet forward of the firing line
